POLITICS: Serere Decides

As governance and politics are at the front of our transformative livelihoods, security and development, allow me applaud his Excellency the president of Uganda for his endless and tireless efforts to transforming Uganda and Teso in particular. We are all aware, His Excellency is our main candidate for presidency, rallying behind his aspirations is still pivotal to our interest for a better country and for regional integration The Ten Reasons why Serere should Vote Acom Esther Lucy- Ajokotau. Hon. Acon Esther praises Museveni following her nomination for WMP.

The Ten Reasons why Serere should Vote Acom Esther Lucy- Ajokotau

1.      Educational level: Acom has the best education that matches legislative roles. She is certified public accountant of Ugandan and can help a lot on scrutinizing government expenditures which spells the oversight role of a member of Parliament.

2.      Age: Acom's age is suitable for her role of a member of Parliament because she can cut across all age groups and can communicate well with both the elderly and the youths alike 

3.      Exposure: Acom has worked in different sectors both in public and private across many countries in E. Africa. She has already built a pool of connections in government and outside government, a reason she can do a lot of lobbying for Serere 

4.      Braveness and creativity: Acom is an intelligent lady who learns very fast and so sharp to tackle challenges ahead of her for the good of her people. Her memory  is still very fresh to match the level of thinking with the likes of Monica Amoding, the Anite Evelyn, phiona Nyamutooro, Ogwang Peter etc who have shined to their top.

5.      Discipline: Acom from a born-again background and a humble family presents respect in front of her face and values humanity above self. She respects her life, her family, everyone in the community and speaks love to everyone and promotes harmonious living in the community.

6.      Legal support: Acom comes from a family with a legal background. That can give her a top advantage over her legislative roles. She will be having constant legal barking and will be presenting guided opinion during the policy making process 

7.      Family background: Acom is a married woman with a stable family background. Her strength in politics is founded on the backing of her husband and close family members who wish to see Serere change for the good of everyone. Acom understands the purpose of God's word in Proverbs 18: 22 that specifically focuses on the blessing of finding a good spouse, emphasizing the significance of marriage and the favor that comes from God through this relationship.

8.      Clear understanding of poverty in the rural Serere: Acom grew up in the rural villages of Akoroi A, Kanyangan and Opunoi in Serere, and had her education in Opunoi and Ocokodoro primary schools before joining Serere SS. This background makes her become a village champion who graduated into a city girl later on. She is well versed with the challenge the poor rural woman is faced with, she is the only hope the rural child can have for now because she was one of them a few years ago.

9.      Acom's Religious Attributes: Acom aims to promote Godliness in politics" - through the application of core moral and ethical principles derived from religious faith to political leadership, decision-making, and civic engagement. That will be seen working by emphasizing character, justice, humility, and the pursuit of the common good over personal or partisan gain. 

1    Support for NRM party: Acom is a humble supporter and promoter of NRM who looks at things beyond the party colours. She aims to build a party that will be locked at a unifier not a monster by the on-lookers, a party of hope to everyone and a party of ideas not coercion.
